Overhalla Commune
Overhalla Commune-Midtre Namdal Kirkelig Fellesråd, is a christian organisation elected by the people in the region Midtre Namdal in Norway, who is responsible for several churches and congregations, including the congregation of Overhalla. Within Overhalla congregation, we work with several projects, and we have our own section within the congregation that works directly towards children and youth. It is this part of the organization that will be a part of the youth exchange and international sports project.
Here in Overhalla we have cooperated for over 20 years with several countries (for example Finland, Czech Republic, Hungary and more) through exchange programs (with the contribution of Erasmus+), through another organization. This organization no longer have the resources to continue working with projects like this. We therefore wish to continue arranging these exchanges within our organization. We wish to involve the youth in our community, so that they can learn and experience the importance of equal rights to all youths. In order to achieve this, we must work across borders, both literally and mentally, to assure that all children and youth get the same opportunity to participate in several activities, including sports.
The person who is responsible for working with children and youth within the congregation of Overhalla, has herself been a participant in the youth exchange program when she was a youth herself, so she has firsthand experience on what positive effect it has. She is also an educated nurse and has worked with people in all ages for over 15 years, including youth that are both physically and mentally ill. She has been an active participant in the Red Cross for several years, has been working with children and youth within the Red Cross, and has taken several courses in the topics of hiking, canoeing, and how to be a good youth-leader (among other things). Currently she is also taking a degree in pedagogy and works with youth and children on a weekly basis.

PROPÓSITO INADIÁVEL
PROPÓSITO INADIÁVEL-Associação para Costumes Futuros is a non-profit organization based in a small village in the North Alentejo countryside. The main objective of the organization is to promote and enhance the development of the individual and the local / regional community through education, non-formal learning, training and international cooperation in the field of sports and socializing.
Founded in March 2014, the organization has been involved in several projects (regional, national and international) from the beginning, since the founders were already in the field of non-formal learning and sporting activities. At the local / regional level, we develop activities such as meetings with local organizations (not just youth organizations) to discuss leadership, citizenship, inclusion and sustainable rural development and youth involvement in sporting activities. We carry out some voluntary activities with farmers to support them and to create more self-esteem as we emphasize the traditional way of farming and encourage young people to engage in various sports activities that can be brought together and build friendships. In the international field, we have been partners in some projects and have had several projects approved under the Erasmus + program.
From its inception, Proposito Inadiavel has been working to promote intercultural dialogue, memory, identity, sporting activities, shared understanding and to create pathways for the inclusion of socially excluded youth.
As an organization that can see the direct impact of youth work on our young people, we have developed a set of tools for their approach and empowerment.
A collaborative and tolerant attitude is also reflected in the culture of our organization, as well as in many projects (directly on the subject) or indirectly (by encouraging the participation of people from different cultural backgrounds and by working with many partners from different countries of the world).
We have ESC accreditation: 2018-1-PT02-KA110-005146
